Typhans are humanoid beings that bear a strong resemblance to humans, although their main difference is the webbed hands and feet that allow them to glide through water seamlessly. If one looks closely, gills are also noticeable, which are a necessity for the aquatic Typhans. Such features are blessings bestowed onto them by Harika, Goddess of the Sea.

Typhan society largely mirrors that of terrestrial society; they have settlements, commerce, and war. Typhans rarely war among one another when compared to land-dwellers, partially due to their unity behind Harika. Still, matters of honor or disputes over prime harvesting waters occasionally come to violence, and Typhans are not ignorant to the dangers of the shores either.
